Fahrney Elementary School Ribbon Cutting Celebration

A ribbon-cutting celebration for Fahrney Elementary School is scheduled for Monday, August 12, 2024. The ribbon cutting will start at 4:30 p.m. at the front main entrance of the school, 520 S Milner St.

This is a community event, and all are invited as we are excited to share the district's newest, state-of-the-art facility for our 3rd-5th grade Bulldog students! Refreshments and building tours of Fahrney and Douma will be provided.

The opening of the Fahrney Elementary building at Douma Campus stands as a testament to Ottumwa School's commitment to providing exceptional educational facilities while preserving the unique identity of our neighborhood schools with small class sizes. Its namesake, Fahrney, holds profound significance, paying homage to Helen and Charles Fahrney—remarkable individuals who dedicated their lives to Ottumwa, ensuring that our children could dare to dream.
